Anne Beentjes
(Amsterdam, 1985)
In 2018 Anne was selected for the Photographic Production Seminar of the Centro de la Imagen (Mexico City), during which she produced her series 'Una Extraña Invasión'. In this project, the artist challenged the inhabitants of the town of El Huizache in San Luis Potosí who have been dealing with a toxic garbage dump three kilometers from their homes since the 1990s. This series could be seen at our Pájaro Piedra exhibition at Cine Tonalá in 2020, at the SWAB Barcelona Art Fair 2021 stand and the related film at the ZUMZEIG October 2021 session.
